Yeay! Finally >.< Sorry takes a while to update lately, cuz I'm working a few part time jobs, and going to school. Also because I'm lazy. HAHA! Lately I started watching Battle's [official site; forum1; forum2;] MPick episodes [clubbox; 1st ep; password: 1027 (chris bday); search keyword: pick], and they are pretty cute neh?? I like Chris the most, then I look up their age and find out he's the youngest -_- I guess I can't help I just like the babies of the groups! huk. However, I can't say their music is exactly the best or anything (though I only have the Crash single), which is a waste because some of the members seem to be pretty good singers.

On the topic of great music, I've been trying to recommend The A.D.'s 1st album [purchase; lyrics;] to people lately. I had it in my collection for a while, and one day re-listening to it, I just realized how great it was. My fav tracks are tracks #5 & 7. They are originally "The Akdong Club" 5 member group, lost a member & became "The A.D" 4 member group & changed to a R&B music style. I have both the Akdong Club and The A.D albums, and I must say if you were disappointed before, their music has changed a lot now. Next time you shop for CDs, give their album a try ^^ Mostly made of R&B and ballads, suitable listen for both girls and guys.

We still need more lyric translators. Please apply if you know how to translate Korean into English. If not, please recommend friends who do to this site ^^ Thank you!

Our forums are opened again! My gosh.. I wonder if anyone was anticipating it? >.< I really wanted to make a new layout for it, but it was going to be more work than I thought, so I gave up on it. And I didn't want to spend hours on something that ppl may not come back to.

What is the forums now? It's basically for the technicalities of this website (questions, broken links, requests, etc), contests (Battle Stadium), and VIP forum (UizdaVIP) for those who were active in the past and thought of our little forums as a home. This is really our last efforts though. If even our most active members in the past do not remain active, we'll stop running discussion forum altogether T_T

Something new in the forums is the Aheeyah Updates Comment Box, where you can comment to posts I make here, cuz I know some of you probably have things to say sometimes, whether it simply be nice thank yous, smart alec comments, or nasty complaints, that's where you can do it. And perhaps in that way, I can meet some of our Aheeyah visitors, and have a little bit more interaction with you guys.

I just got back from a retreat and last night I was riding the shuttle van thing, half asleep. Two girls sitting in front of me were quietly chatting in Korean, when some of the guys next to me started discussing their dismal Korean speaking abilities (they were Korean too). Later in their conversation, one of the guys randomly mentioned Aheeyah and how he checks the lyrics page out a lot xP

This is totally the kind of thing that makes me glow inside and feel proud of Aheeyah. I also recently stumbled upon Iyah Lyricals (the first version of Aheeyah). I can't believe it's still online! If you click on Fany's picture (WHO remembers he looks like that!??), the site still works, though layout is very messed up XD It's funny to see my "blabber box" and how.. childishly I ranted in it? O well, maybe I'm still pretty childish now. After looking at that, I shouldn't have to feel ashamed with what I write here anymore. I even wrote about how I won first place in a Taekwondo competition?? I wouldn't dream of mentioning that here anymore (though I kinda just did). That's because Aheeyah has grown so big, it doesn't feel like a 'personal' site anymore (though still, I try to give it a personal feel which most large websites don't have). Aheeyah has really grown up, neh? With all the hours that previous, current, and future staff have, are, and will spend on this site, I hope Aheeyah will continue to grow into the biggest lyrics source for Korean, romanized, and translated lyrics.

I hope in the upcoming year, we will see more support for Korean artists, less pirated and illegal music sharing and downloading, and in return, an even more talented and passionate Korean music industry.

I didn't realize it's been this long since I've updated! Well, after about 6 months in Korea, I started falling out of Kpop. I even stopped going to concerts I easily could've went to, compared to months before when I'd go out of my way to get there. It's so weird neh? In Canada, I always dreamt of going to Korea for Kpop. When I'm there, the original reason no longer appeals to me. But it also means there were SO many other appealing things in Korea that Kpop no longer has to be the sole reason.

SOOOO, I was really hanging onto Kpop by a thread of SS501-ness. It's hard to update when you're no longer into the music, neh? That's why I've been slack. But a while ago, I was watching a Jungmin & KyuJong (SS501) radio show [clubbox link], saw the featured guests, Big Bang (my fav is cute magnae Seungri!!!~), and their live singing [youtube: "Big Bang", "Dirty Cash", "A Fool of Tears" <from this exact radio show] was pretty darn good, and they all seemed really unique, so I started checking em out. Then I fell into a deep hole for them. lol. So they are bringing me back into Kpop. I got their newest albums in the mail yesturday (I was dying from a 10 day's wait!) and I've never been so excited and anticipating CD arrivals before, EVER. I got their CD spinning right away. So it says a lot about their music (over appearances, which is great too! Why do ppl say otherwise) to me. As I was greedily and happily indulging in their music and beautiful CD booklets and fun 3D paper dolls (if that is not the weirdest idea ever...), I felt a pange of guilt. Here I am, only leaching off these wonderful boys, and not doing anything for them. I was then pushed to update Aheeyah. lol.

I used to work on Aheeyah because I loved Kpop so much and I needed a place to release all that love. I couldn't get enough of it and wanted to spend timeless... er, time on it. I could spend 6 hours with no break doing lyrics, and I'd be all happy at the end of it. It was all simply out of love and passion. Now, I work on Aheeyah because I have a duty as a fan. I have a duty to help make their music accessible to others, to spread knowledge about Kpop, and encourage fans to support their music albums. Lots of people call themselves fans, but they don't really do anything for the artists. There's so many things you can do! Start up a forum, or just participate in one, force your friends to listen to your Kpop-ified mp3 player, send some Kpop videos (clubbox? youtube? whatever!) to your friends on MSN, put some pictures of your fav artists on your blog, make a Kpop t-Shirt and wear it, sing Kpop aloud in class so all your classmates can hear and give you weird looks and the teacher point you out and ask you what the worldly kabungos you're singing and you tell em loud and proud, write the word 'Kpop' on your forehead and let ppl stare at you strangely and the brave ones ask you what it is, WHATEVER! Just do SOMETHING! Don't just sit on your big butt cheeks all day downloading their albums from the internet and leeching videos in forums and calling yourself a fan. AT LEAST BUY THEIR CDS DAMNIT! Why can ppl afford high speed internet and laptops and iPods, but be saying you can't afford to buy albums? Don't call yourself a fan if that's what you do.

Okay and this is sort of a Christmas present. I apologize to all the people who requested, or submitted lyrics, and it is taking forever to get em up. I'm sorry. I'm slow T_T And we still, as always, desperately need translators. That's why I've changed the hiring system to be a lot easier and accomodating to you. This is something else you could do to help Kpop out!

This has GOT to be the biggest lyrics update ever done in one update. Six years ago today, little Aheeyah was created, back then known as 'Iyah Lyricals' with me as the only 'staff' romanizing songs for the site. Today, you see above what our lyrics staff brings for you. Thank you SO MUCH to our romanizers and translators for having continuing done all these lyrics. These lyrics came from many hours of their hard work, and this update comes as a celebration of Aheeyah's 6th year ^^

This update has a lot of old requests from contest winners / donators, and OST albums. I'm sorry the requests took so long! I didn't realize they were requests, so fell behind updating them, even though they were already done by our staff. My apologies for the LONG wait.

Layout ver. 07: Isn't this a beauty of a layout? Congrats to Artisticbehavior, who won the Layout Aheeyah Contest held in our forums. She made the gorgeous header/main graphics, featuring Seven, HeoYoungSaeng (of SS501), and Xiah JunSu (of DongBangShinKi), who won the Aheeyah's Top Model games held in Games Galore in our forums, where we promised to use the winners on Aheeyah's next new layout. Next time Aheeyah needs a new layout, I will definitely hold this contest again, and maybe your graphics will be on Aheeyah ^^ All other graphics, icons, layout design and arranging were done by me (frostedsnow).

Some new sections! Backstage has been updated with new staff profiles (so even old staff wrote something new for you to read). Fanworks is a totally new section, where we will collect past contest and event entries, such as graphics, fanfics, and songs.
